My Outreach project is moving along slowly, but surely! I shared my plans to develop a website with my lab groups and received great feedback. Most people shared the feeling of, “its about time!” The undergraduates are excited to have a place to showcase their work for grant and graduate school applications. They are currently all working on writing a short blurb about themselves as students and researchers. And we plan to have a lab “picture day” next week so I can upload everyone’s bios.
I am currently using word press, but my husband is more familiar with another type of program so I may end up transitioning in hopes of having a little more freedom with the design. One thing I am wanting to do, but haven’t quite figured out how to yet, is to having a rotating slide show of pictures for the header. Does anyone know if you can do this with a free word press account?
I am also working on taking a lot more pictures in the lab, we have a lot of great pictures from our work on the dairy farm, but unfortunately we are unable to share those pictures due to IACUC rules. As soon as things progress a bit further I will post a link!
